- provides timely and accurate data on the Earth's orientation by maintaining key connections between astronomy, geodesy, and geophysics.
Note: The IERS provides data not only on the Earth's orientation, but also on the ICRS/ICRF and the ITRS/ITRS, and it provides also geophysical data and conventions
