13th International Laser Ranging
Workshop Atmospheric Correction and Multiwavelength
Ranging (S. Riepl and E. Pavlis)
The session on Atmospheric Correction and Multiwavelength Ranging experienced unexpected resonance in terms of the number of the submitted presentations. The session started with presentations dealing with two colour laser ranging at the stations Matera (G. Bianco), Zimmerwald (W. Gurtner) and Concepcion (S. Riepl), the only two colour operational SLR systems in the world. Moreover some considerations on horizontal refractive gradients and features of different mapping functions where given and E. Pavlis discussed the most recently derived mapping function, supplied by V. Mendes. The session went on discussing nonlinear effects in modelling the group refractive delay (Y. Galkin) and the wavelength dependent range offsets of corner cube reflector arrays (D. Arnold), which was followed by theoretical considerations of turbulence effects on ranging jitter (I. Prochazka) and the laser ranging equation (X. Yaoheng). The session was closed by presentations dealing with possibilities of remote sensing of atmospheric parameters by limb sounding (M. de la Torre Juarez) and Rayleigh-LIDAR (U. Schreiber) techniques. |
